This is a great list of travel captions and quotes! I have always loved all of the Mark Twain & Ernest Hemingway quotes on different aspects of travel.
I actually laughed out loud when I read, “No man needs a vacation so much as the man who just had one.” – Elbert Hubbard. Boy, that is the truth! Once I return home, I am a bit worn out and yet itching to get back into it all over again!
As for the quotes on family adventure, You won me with the Calvin & Hobbes Quote!

You’ve created a very comprehensive list of travel inspired quotes here. I always feel ready to start planning my next adventure after reading a good travel meme. My favourite one here is, “Adventure may hurt you but monotony will kill you.” Gosh that is so true!

Hi Joanne,

that’s an interesting compilation of travel quotes. I love especially the “Tourists don’t know where they’ve been, travelers don’t know where they’re going.”, as it reminds me of the different types of travel. Even I would never say that I don’t know have where I have been,, but depending on the reason and the circumstances of my trip, I would also say that I am sometimes a traveler (luckily more often) and a few times just a tourist.
