Wow. The rocky cliffs and bright blue ocean and sky are enough for me to know that I need to explore more of Portugal beyond Lisbon (preferably ASAP!). Ponte da Piedade looks simply spectacular. It reminds me a bit of the arch in Los Cabos, except clearly there are so many more here and this honestly looks like such a better place to explore via the boat tours.

I’ve been seeing a lot about this region recently and I really would love to visit. The coastline reminds me quite a lot of the Great Ocean Road near Melbourne! It’s so beautiful, rugged and sunny!! We’ve also only visited Lisbon in Portugal too so we’d love to go back and see some different areas of the country.

Caves and sunsets … I’m in! The Carvoeiro boardwalk looks like an amazing place to sit and watch the waves and sun sink into the ocean. How crowded did the boardwalk get at sunset?

Isn’t the Algarve so beautiful?!? We stayed one night in Lagos when we were in Portugal, and we had planned to do a kayak tour. But it was April and the weather was bad, so our tour got canceled. But we still got to do some exploring! I would love to go back and do some though, and check out some of the beaches you mentioned that we didn’t get to!

I am definitely adding Carvoeiro to my list next time that I head back to the Algrave. What a gorgeous place and I love that there is so much to do like taking a boat to Benagil Cave, exploring caves via foot and eating delicious seafood.

Carvoeiro looks like a truly beautiful part of Portugal and I would be keen to visit. The rock formations and caves are very impressive and the boat ride looks like a great way to appreciate them, I would love to see some of the little villages and beaches too that aren’t as touristy.

Do you know we watched an old episode of A place in the Sun on the weekend and it was about this part of Portugal and even Carvoeiro! Its nice to hear its still not dependant on tourism and retains most of its authenticity, Will definitely look it up when we get to Portugal.

Looks like a wonderful place to explore. I think my favorite would be the Cave of Dolls and the rock formations along with the boat ride. Or maybe the paddleboarding…
