We’ve visited Switzerland for a total of 8 weeks over two visits. It’s the country in Europe where we feel most at home. We arrived as strangers to the beautiful Rhine city of Basel and left longing to return. The city itself borders Germany and France and has an incredible history. It’s within an hour train ride to many beautiful locations allowing for many day trips. While not in the mountains Switzerland is known for, those can be reached in a short 3 hour train ride. And those mountains are more spectacular than you can ever imagine.
